What is diary? Do you still remember your childhood days were you used to writes all your daily experience? Somehow that is one of the exciting parts of our childhood and even up to now some of us are keeping diaries on their closet. We even draw some funny pictures or emotions on it just to describe how we feels. That is one of the practices that never grow older but I am not here to elaborate those funny things which are hidden behind the pages of our notebooks. I’m here to present the newest craze of town which is the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”.
As you can remember, Diary of a Wimpy Kid was first introduced to us last August 3, 2010. The concept of the movie was absolutely fun, the way how an 11-year-old Greg Heffley start his day as a middle school student. He has this overflowing confidence or perhaps a dreamed that someday he will become the most popular kid in school. However things flow unexpectedly as all the good credits goes to his bestfriend Rodrick (Devon Bostick). Instead of himself, Rodrick becomes the famous kid on school. To cut the story short he gets nothing but discriminations nevertheless with the help of stinky cheese and taunts from school bullies everything was back on the way it was; the lost friendship, trust, and connection. And all those downfall and happiness was written on Greg Heffley diary!
It was a movie that all ages can relate; so this coming March 25th, it’s time to rock the big screens as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules will continue the unforgettable thrills written on Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) journal. It is based on the second novel in the Wimpy Kid book series. On this movie, older brother (Devon Bostick as Rodrick Heffley) will rule while Greg Heffley enters seventh grade. Greg and Rodrick involved in some brotherly “bonding” but Rodrick has the upper hand due to what dirt he has on little brother Greg. As if Rodrick not enough of an advantage, now he is making Greg’s life more miserable. Greg on the other hand is stepping into a new stage of his age wherein his main concern on this film is to impress his crush, Holly Hills (aside from yelling over his brother).
Here’s the best part guys, the scenes where diary enters the picture. Over the summer, Greg and Rodrick went to their Grandfather’s home, but there is nothing to do there, so Greg starts writing in his old journal, but Rodrick stole it and made a run for it, but he tripped over a game set of Gutbusters. So, Greg took the diary back and took it to the nearest bathroom. He started ripping pages out of it, but someone comes in, and it’s an elderly woman putting on makeup. Greg was about to tell her she was in the wrong bathroom, because according to Greg, people in Leisure Towers are always doing stuff like that, but then another woman comes in, and he realizes that it was himself who made the mistake, and he was in the girls’ bathroom. Pretty shocking right? Wait till you see the whole new story on the film release date which is directed by David Bowers. This is a story of a wimpy kid written on his diary. Remember the movie release date and be the first to witness the abundant enthusiasms!
